Details

This project involved the extensive refurbishment and substantial extension of the existing Maths department building for Queen Mary University, East London. The planned development is approximately 5,500 sqm, and is designed to achieve the PassivHaus EnerPHit standard.

My involvement of the project has been to complete the thermal modelling to satisfy the PassivHaus certification, as well as BREEAM.  I also conducted bespoke thermal comfort analysis, to ensure the atrium would produce the desired stack effect to naturally ventilate the building, and that the building will remain thermally comfortable..
